David Mason, B Vet Med (Honours), MRCVS, is a Board Certified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon specializing in Orthopedic, Neurologic, Oncologic and General Soft Tissue Surgical Procedures.

A native of Northern England who grew up on a dairy farm and has been involved with animals his entire life, Dr. Mason earned his veterinary degree with honours from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1999. After graduation he moved across the Atlantic Ocean in order to pursue a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Kansas State Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Dr Lin has given several presentations at local and national conferences on topics such as non- surgical management of canine cruciate disease and cartilage imaging for the canine elbow. She has published her findings in peer reviewed veterinary journals and abstracts. She is currently serving on the board of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society as their communications officer. When she is not at work, she spends her time with her two dogs, Nema and Tia Rosa and her cat Stanley. She is an avid long distance runner, rock climber and skier.

Daniel Frem, MEM, DVM, DACVS-SA

Practice limited to surgery

Dr. Frem performed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College in NH and ultimately received a Master of Engineering Management Degree from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth. Dr. Frem worked as a business analyst for a major auto manufacturer and managed a public golf course and function facility prior to pursuing veterinary medicine.

Dr. Frem received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2011. Following graduation, Dr. Frem completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, CA followed by an intensive surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX. Dr. Frem then completed a demanding three-year surgery residency at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA in 2016.

Dr. Frem’s practice includes orthopedic, neurologic, and soft tissue procedures with a particular interest in reconstructive surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Frem is adjusting to the change in climate and excited to explore the southwest. When not at work, Dr. Frem enjoys rock climbing, golfing, and hiking with his energetic rescue puppy Oliver.

Dana Gale, DVM, Surgical Resident

A native of Maryland, Dr. Dana Gale graduated Ohio State vet school. She did an internship at Friendship Hospital in DC and a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Vet Specialist in Texas.

Deana Sin, VMD, Surgical Intern

Dr. Deana Sin grew up in Honolulu Hawaii and moved to Philadelphia for college. She studied Bioengineering in undergrad and stayed in Philly for vet school. After vet school Deana moved to Los Angeles for a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital where her interest in small animal surgery was solidified. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys eating good food, and staying active with outdoor activities like rock climbing, hiking, paddleboarding, and trying new things! She two cats, Chance and Shammy that have suffered through undergrad, vet school, and her internship with her.

William T. Clough, DVM, Surgical Intern

Originally from Salem, Massachusetts, Dr. Clough moved down south to attend Wake Forest University and graduated with a BS in Biology in 2008. He then moved back to the Boston area and worked as a veterinary technician for a couple years before attending veterinary school at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. After veterinary school Dr. Clough moved to Brooklyn, NY to complete a one year rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group. His veterinary interests include orthopedic, emergency, and neurologic surgery.

Outside of work he enjoys playing basketball, golf and cycling. When not exercising with a grueling 18 holes of golf he enjoys attending local concerts and cooking! Currently Dr. Clough does not have any pets but he always on the lookout for a new companion.

Our board certified surgeons use advanced tools and methods to perform surgical procedures not available in most veterinary clinics. Our excellent pain management therapies offer relief to both pets and their owners, before and after surgery.

Our surgical specialists provide consultations for many different types of advanced surgical cases, such as soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic problems. We are dedicated to providing thorough communication to both the owner and primary veterinarian at all times, and providing our patients with the most advanced and compassionate care possible. Our staff reviews procedures, possible complications, prognosis, and home and follow-up care at the time of consultation, before and after surgery, and at discharge.

In addition, the surgical practice has immediate access to the other specialty practices at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center to make sure our patients get the most thorough care available.

Our patients receive thorough surgical monitoring by Licensed Veterinary Technicians, and have a dedicated, quiet recovery ward where they are monitored 24 hours a day by both doctors and technicians. This allows for excellent post-procedure pain management, medical treatment, and observation.

Our facility provides access to advanced diagnostic imaging, including CT, MRI, digital radiography, and ultrasound, as well as advanced treatment options such as critical care and physical rehabilitation.
