Follow-Up Care

After any ophthalmic procedure or surgery, our patients are monitored by doctors and technicians in our ICU, which allows for excellent post-procedure pain management and medical treatment and monitoring. Our hospital is fully staffed 24 hours a day with both doctors and technicians.

OphthalmologyOwners are educated on proper nursing care for their animal’s eye condition prior to going home, including detailed discharge instructions and a schedule of recheck examinations. We also communicate regularly with the primary veterinarian throughout the treatment process.

We realize that ocular conditions can be overwhelming, especially when affecting vision. We are always available to answer any questions, both from clients and referring veterinarians.

Appointments

Appointments are by referral Monday through Friday. Ophthalmologic emergencies can be seen through the Ophthalmology department during those times, or through Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at any time.
